Our Beans Have a New Look

We’ve always been proud of our beans. That’s why we decided to change up our labels and give them a new look.

This customer favourite product of ours contains only three ingredients: beans, spring water, sea salt. With only healthy ingredients in our canned beans, you won’t require any enzyme-based dietary supplement after eating them. Or before.

Watch for our newly labeled beans to be rolling out in stores all over Western Canada, including our own.

Colavita, founded by Giovanni and Felice Colavita, began life in 1938 in Sant’Elia a Pianisi, as a small olive mill. In the 1960’s Oleifici Colavita became one of the top 5 olive oil refineries in Italy. Fast forward to 1977, Colavita forged a partnership and world wide distribution began.

Today Colavita is Italy’s top choice in Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It is cold pressed from premium select Italian Olives and squeezed one day after harvest.

Rega Certified D.O.P. Italian Tomatoes

Our Rega Certified D.O.P. Italian Tomatoes are Denominazione d’Origine Protetta (Protected Designation of Origin).

Truly Authentic and Certified; D.O.P. Certification ensures that the product is Italian government inspected and regulated San Marzano variety and geographical origin. San Marzano is both a type and region.

Why DOP? World renowned as the perfect Italian tomato, superior in sweet flavour and cooking results. Elongated heirlooms with a thick pulpy core, widely considered to have a perfect sweetness to acid ratio.

DOP Guarantees; Grown only in a small region over the volcanic soil of Vesuvius. Size and shape certified standards. Harvested individually by hand at peak ripeness and colour grade. Chefs and home cooks will accept no imitation.

Label: Label tells a story. Wonderfully original, generations old, family label from Italy. DOP prominent medallion, and government certification tag.

Whole and Natural; For generations the same clean ingredient panel: Whole Peeled San Marzano tomatoes, packed in puree, with basil leaf.
